This Privacy Policy explains how Enocus Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile game Grid Slice (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Policy.

2. Overview — what this App does with data

Grid Slice is a single-player arcade game. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate our own cloud save or player profile servers for this App.

In short:

Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device.
Optional ads are provided by Google AdMob.
Optional in-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing.
We do not sell your personal information.

3. Information we process

3.1 Information stored on your device (by the App)

The App stores gameplay and preference data locally (for example using Android SharedPreferences), such as:

Highest unlocked level and high score
Settings (sound, music, haptics, control mode, accessibility options)
Onboarding completion status
Limited local counters (for example free daily revive usage)
A local “ads removed” flag after a purchase, so premium status can work offline
Local difficulty adaptation stats (for example deaths/clears per level). This stays on the device and is not uploaded to Enocus servers

If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this local information may be deleted. Android backup features on your device may also back up some app data according to your device settings.

3.2 Information we do not collect ourselves

No Enocus account registration
No Enocus-operated analytics dashboard for individual players
No Enocus cloud save of your level progress (as of this Policy’s date)
No access to your contacts, photos, microphone, or precise location by the App

3.3 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App may show advertisements, including interstitial ads and optional rewarded ads (for example to continue after losing a life). Ads are provided by Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads.

Google may collect or process device and advertising-related information in order to serve, measure, and improve ads. This can include items such as:

Online identifiers (for example Android advertising ID, where available)
IP address and approximate network/location information derived from it
Device and app information (model, OS version, app version, language)
Ad interaction and performance data

How Google uses data is governed by Google’s policies. Please review:

You may be able to reset or limit advertising personalisation in your Android settings (for example under Google → Ads / privacy settings, depending on your device).

3.4 In-app purchases (Google Play Billing)

The App may offer a one-time purchase to remove interstitial ads (product such as “remove ads”). Payments are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details. Google provides us with purchase/entitlement information needed to unlock the feature on your device.

3.5 Permissions the App uses

Internet — to load ads and communicate with Google Play services
Network state — to check connectivity for ads/purchases
Vibrate — optional haptic feedback during gameplay (can be disabled in settings)

4. Why we process information (purposes)

To operate core gameplay and remember your progress/settings on the device
To show ads in the free version and support an optional rewarded continue
To process and honour “remove ads” purchases
To adapt difficulty lightly using on-device stats
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law where required

5. Legal bases (UK GDPR / GDPR where applicable)

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on:

Contract / service delivery — providing the game you chose to install
Legitimate interests — securing the App, basic on-device adaptation, understanding ad/purchase functionality through Google’s services
Consent — where required for certain advertising/storage technologies or personalised ads (handled via applicable Google/Android consent mechanisms in regions that require them)
Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose information to comply with law

6. Sharing of information

We share information only as needed to run the App:

Google (AdMob, Play Billing, Play services) as described above
Authorities if required by law or to protect rights and safety

We do not sell personal information. We do not share data with Enocus marketing partners for this App beyond what Google’s ad and billing services do under their own policies.

7. International transfers

Google and other service providers may process data on servers outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where required, such transfers are made using appropriate safeguards described in those providers’ privacy documentation (for example Standard Contractual Clauses).

8. Retention

On-device App data — retained until you clear app data, uninstall, or otherwise delete it (subject to device backups)
Ad and purchase data — retained by Google according to Google’s retention policies
Emails you send us (for example to [email protected]) — retained as long as needed to respond and for legitimate business/legal records

9. Children

Grid Slice is intended for a general audience including older teens and adults (approximately ages 13+). It is not directed at children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us directly, contact [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps.

Parents/guardians should use Android and Google Play family controls as appropriate. If you configure the App as child-directed under Google Play Families policies, additional advertising restrictions apply; the standard free version uses Google AdMob suitable for a general audience, not a “designed for children” experience.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the UK and EEA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. Because most Grid Slice progress lives on your device, many requests are fulfilled by clearing app data or uninstalling. See also Data deletion — Grid Slice.

You may lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or your local supervisory authority.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a mobile game that primarily stores data on-device and uses Google’s industry-standard billing and ads SDKs. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

12. Third-party links and ads

Ads may open third-party content or destinations not operated by Enocus Limited. Their privacy practices are their own. Please review those parties’ policies before providing information to them.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy, where permitted by law.
